Cathay Bank has been made aware that fraudsters are establishing websites that attempt to mimic Cathay Bank's website to send emails that appear to be from Cathay Bank. Two of these websites are cathaybanks.com and cathayonline.com. There may be others that have not yet been reported to us. The persons running the websites are attempting to obtain customer account information or seeking funds from the recipients. Individuals who receive emails and are suspicious should delete the emails and not respond. An example of an email is shown below.
